Frank is right, you aren't going to find cheap ocean
view hotels in Monterey. This is the off season though
and there are some nice places for around $70 a night.
The Pacific Gardens Inn is on Asilomar and it's very
nice. It doesn't have ocean views but you can walk to
Asilomar Beach in about 5 minutes. The Borg Motel at
Lovers Point is about the cheapest hotel in the area
that does have an ocean view. If you can find one of
those Green coupon books they have in the newstands in
California you can get some very good deals in
Monterey
