[Paddlewise] Sea Kayak Bans

Ralph's letter reminds me of my teenage years Kayaking
in the San Fransisco Bay during the late 60's. I
paddled north out of  Redwood City past Coyote Point,
in a home made plywood Kayak. I inadvertantly entered
into a restricted military (Navy?)waterway when
suddenly just 20 feet to my side a military submarine
partially surfaced, scaring the **** out of me. An
audible anouncement told me to leave imediately as I
had entered a restricted Zone! Talk about having to
change your shorts! Of course my parents thought this
was all in my imagination!! I stayed in the R.C.
channel after that!
