Not really Scott; its more from local pressures coming about lately.

Agree 100% Scott, though I would add new paddlers need to work on some kind
of reliable self-rescue method fairly early in their career as well as
braces and basics. 

PS Sorry I misspelled "narly" on my last post. S/B _gnarly_, which is what
you So Cal dudes are!
