I think so. One of my favorites was in Baja - we arrived at our put-in on a nice day, and the next day a big storm began. After hiking everywhere and running out of things to do, on of the clients was so mad and said something like - I'm training to climb Mt. McKinely and if wind is the element in Baja, then we should be paddling in the wind. I'm sure anyone who has guided groups has had to be firm to make sure people didn't convince them to go into a situation that could be bad for someone's health..
