This may be a little off-topic (OT), but it affects my paddling in Canada so
maybe others can help out. If it is OT, please email me directly, not the
list. Thanks.

My VISA provider (Wells Fargo) is about to implement some additional charges on
transactions I make in other countries. I can not quite make out the bankese,
but I think they will be tacking on about **three percent** for VISA purchases
made in other currencies!

I think I have enjoyed either no surcharge, or only a **one percent** surcharge
until now (change goes into effect May 1).

Anybody got a major VISA provider which does NOT tack on **three percent?**

Dave,

How about

- applying for a Canadian Visa or M/C
- using Travelers cheques
- using interact card (atm)
- move to BC ( Gods country ) where the real paddling is!!
- and lets face it, your already getting 45 % + exchange rate
in your favour!! The reason we haven't ventured across the
  border in many years.
