>From his website:

The boat - A Romany Explorer designed and built by Nigel Dennis Kayaks -
Angelsey Wales. The boat is a standard lay up fiberglass construction with
an added keel strip for abrasion. It has three dry storage compartments, no
skeg or rudder, and the standard key hole cockpit for comfort as well as
fast exit on a surf beach landing. The boat was chosen for its handling
characteristics in rough following seas, comfort, and the ease with which it
can be rolled.
The paddle - A Werner Paddle carbon graphite Molokai- 60 degree, 215 cm.
Chosen as a favorite for its design, light weight and durability.
Spray Deck - A Snap Dragon custom kevlar reinforced deck with implosion bar.

I certainly hope he is well. His reports fed my vicarious arm-chair
adventurer self as I sit in the rain among (As Anthony Quinn said in "Zorba
the Greek") "The whole catastrophe".

Any reports on his condition would be appreciated

Bob
