One of the most beautiful places to kayak in that part of the world is Monterey Bay, and it's serviced by a great outfit, Monterey Kayaks (www.montereykayaks.com). Highly recommend them for sales, rentals, programs, instruction, trips, whatever you need. Extremely professional bunch of people, lots of good boats, and terrific scenery.
