I, for one, would refuse to paddle with someone who did not have a PFD. I would even feel very uncomfortable if they weren't wearing it. I don't care how talented a swimmer a person claims to be; a knock on the head or rough weather and a confused situation can change all that in a hurry and an unprotected swimmer can put everyone else at risk. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Seng, Dave" <DSeng_at_health.state.ak.us> To: <paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net> Sent: Wednesday, March 01, 2000 1:23 PM Subject: RE: [Paddlewise] PFD Required?? > -----Original Message----- > > From: Rick Harwell [mailto:wharwel_at_CLEMSON.EDU] > > Sent: Wednesday, March 01, 2000 7:53 AM > > > I hate to open a can of worms , but I guess I am ready to let > > them crawl > > out.
