Seeing as how that bottle of suntan lotion on your shelf is probably
made of polyethelene, I doubt if what's inside it will hurt your kayak.
A better choice, though, would be 303 protectant, which is designed to
provide UV protection for rubber, fabric, and plastic. It may not be
available in your part of the world, but it should be.
