There are differences between a paddle you make yourself for $5-$25.00 
out of a  2x4 and one from a quality builder like Mark Rogers. I'm not 
saying in the hands of a skilled user the same things can't be done but 
if nothing else the finish he gets from the west system epoxy is very 
nice on the hands. ;-)
