I want to take a barometer along on longer trips and
was wondering what people on the list were using.
All comments appreciated.

                                         Thanks!

I use a standard climbers altimeter. It was about $40 and is fairly accurate. It is easy to set at sea level and watch for change. Lower than sea level reading=high pressure.

I just use the barometer in my watch. I use the Casio Pathfinder,
a model that is now out of production, and it's fine for basic
weather stuff. I'm on my third watch, as the first two broke in
the exact same manner (case split where the strap attaches
in the upper right. Both were covered by warranty. I don't
have a lot of faith in the watch case, so I wear a Timex while paddling
and keep the Casio wrapped up inside the kayak. I don't know if I'd buy
another Casio Pathfinder based on my experience, but none of the
competition can match the 26 hr barometric pressure history display.
