Actually, a double would be appear to be accommodated by the boat width factor.  Hi-ever, as with all regressions and factor analyses, you get into trouble when you try to extrapolate beyond the sample's envelope.  I suspect
that the formula is not reliable for beams bigger than around 25".

The formula also gives rather strong effect to spine length, suggesting that height plays a greater role than I thought, especially since it is also relected in the elbow measurement.  Slouching down an inch knocks over 4 cm off
the length.
