Our Houston Canoe Club listserv drew my attention to the article "The Aleutian
Kayak" by George Dyson in the latest (April 2000) issue of Scientific
American.  Just received the journal today - really an interesting article on
the design of Aleutian kayaks.  Pages 84-91 - thought the rest of the
Paddlewisenheimers might enjoy reading it too.
