Not too far off-topic --- anybody know if we have that famous John Winters thread archived? Where the strange news account of the self-inflating rubber skivvies on the Japanese subway led (somehow) to John's --- or the Professor's? --- wonderful saga of the Inuits exploring the Old World with muktuk powered crotch dirigibles?

[For new folks, this really was a classic thread.]

Paddling along through fog so thick that only one's thoughts are
visible, your reverie is abruptly shattered by the ancient cry of a great
blue heron as she lifts uncertainly from the brilliant blue of a
mussel-shell beach witnessed only by the brooding, wet spruce....your
passage home seems as much back through time as it does through space.

Still working on tying Dr. Inverbon's messages as well as some other more
"creative" writings into the PaddleWise website. Will let you all know....

Cheers,

Jackie
