Ohh, I'm sooo misunderstood! But, you do have a point...inexpensive would
have been a better word, and I in no way was putting down entry-level SOT's
(the kind you see at beach resorts, etc, not necessarily the better
appointed ones). I simply meant it the same way one would say that a
master craftsman can work in wood, creating a sea worthy kayak, or it could
be a craftsman working in fiberglass or whatever - I have no right to say
what is best. Anyway, I get what I deserve for sending misc ramblings
written late at night. I'll just stick to silly little gear issues that
people seam to love to talk about, and write up some of my log book stuff
or report on any accidents I run across. Take care.

Poor baby!

All you had to say was "...plastic SOTs."

tch, tch, tch. Open mouth, insert foot deeper. :) :) and, following Ralph's
sneaky style, I won't even make fun of your misspelling "seam" for "seem"

It was cool reading the latest Sea Kayaker and seeing your book report and
Gary Luhm's article. I now find that when I'm reading letters I always go to
the end first to see if it's a P'wise name I recognize.

With love and kisses,
