I found a PalmPilot program called "TideTool" that did this very well indeed. I think it's a port of XTide for UNIX. You need to load a database for the area you wish to get tides for. This gives the program the parameters it needs to calculate the tides in any given location. Since I carry the silly thing everywhere, I'm always pulling it out at the beach to see what the tide is doing. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Tue Apr 04 2000 - 19:40:51 PDT
