Regards, PT >> Several years ago I semi-ovalized the shaft on my old Wind Swift by putting a couple layers of foam tape on either side where I normally gripped it, shaping the foam with an X-Acto knife, and then shrinking heat shrink tubing over it. It gave me a nice feel for the orientation of the blades at less weight than the Werner paddles of the day. I tried wrapping the shaft and foam with plastic electrician's tape before switching to the heat-shrink, but it eventually turned into a sticky mess. :-( These days I pretty much stick to Greenland paddles, though I have been thinking of cutting down that old Wind Swift and trying it again...
