For a starter boat, it'll probably be all right and better than a lot of more expensive possibilities. There's a pretty good Australian website that has a guy's experiences with the Apostle, but you have to work your way through a bit of Australian slang: http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/29/apostle.htm A couple of years ago, the Apostle listed for around $1050, IIRC.
