[Paddlewise] Helping a new paddler

and I'd suggest we've been enriched by --- the progress you've made in getting
back to the water. 


 What you did for this newbie in the backwards skirt is what this list is all
about.  Don't sell the boat, Tom.......Jack Martin





Tom Weese's recent post gave us a small account of an advice giving


incident but a really big reminder (at least for me) of why we paddle.


Every time he posts, I am really inspired.  Although we're a continent


apart, I'm proud to share the experience paddling brings us.





I think Jack Martin really,  expressed so very eloquently, what many,


 people on this list feel......Bill Leonhardt

I can say is that even though you may have trouble walking or even 


remembering tide tables etc. there places you can paddle and have fun on the 



water.   Just be willing to share your experiences with others.

Tom these three comments are why this list is so great.  As a new paddler I
admire your courage and am jealous of your local.  Here in Colorado I don't
have to worry about tides and currents but I would love to be in your neck of
the woods.  don't sell your self short as firelight said he found out that he
has assets that make him a partner in his trips not a burden.  I would think
that you could hook up with some people that you could help and would love to
help you in areas you are not ready to tackle.





I have an aunt in your area so in a few years I will be in the Bremerton area
and would love to have you show me the waters you like to paddle.  So don't
give up  I may need you <g> in the future.  I definitely enjoy your
contribution to this list.  You may be fuzzy now and then but your wit/ humor
and your outlook is an inspiration.
