To clean rust on my various kayaking knives I have used steel wool or those combo sponge and green abrasive pads used in kitchens. Also, I have spreaded liberally with WD 40 which tends to help lift rust and get into crevices. I leave the knives wet with WD 40 for a bit then dry them with a papel towel or rag to get the stuff off. A light film of WD 40 invariably lays on the surface and minimizes rust buildup the next few times out. ralph Michael Daly wrote: > > "E.
