Okay, I remember seeing a thread about these things-I have a question. Yesterday while getting reminded about some of what I once learned at the kayak shop in Gig Harbor-I heard someone speaking about foot pumps. I was shown one-a "Henderson" I believe it was called, installed. It looked very..."right..." Thing is I was told the Pursuit [NorthWest Kayaks] had PLASTIC bulkheads and therefore I cannot mount one. UGH! I am feeling that somehow a foot pump has got to be at least an "interim" pump to use as I am not confident that when things get difficult, I will still be coordinated enough to attempt to paddle AND pump with my hands! However, using my feet? Anyway-has anyone ever either replaced their plastic bulkhead with fiberglass-or just put in a new bulkhead directly behind the forward one, allowing installation of the pump? Doesn't seem like it would take all that much fiberglass to do... I didn't realize that I had plastic bulkheads-would possibly have shopped farther if I'd have known... Thanks! Tom... *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Sun Apr 16 2000 - 20:30:10 PDT
