I don't think you'll regret it. I didn't get around to replying, but I've never regretted getting the Goretex one-piece. It's not usually really uncomfortable - though you do have to get used to having the neck gasket try to kill you. We keep 5 gallon jugs in the gasket between wearings, to stretch them out. It works.
