Joe Sanford said re his 99 Dodge Caravan:

>>>Thank you for the responses to my letter. Perhaps I should add a
little more info.
Mine is a long 99 model with factory roof carriers. I was hoping
that someone made an adapter which would mount to the factory
hardware. The van has no rain gutters.>>>

I have the 97 Caravan and I put the question to this list some time ago
regarding weight capacity of racks. I still have to get some Railriders for
the stock roof rack to adapt my Yakimas. The late model Caravans are a
little lower and a bit wider than some of the vans on the market. Even so,
never being one to hold back with modifications, I lowered my van 2.5
inches with a high performace spring kit. That will be 2 or so inches less
to have to hup my british heavy up onto the racks - and, the van takes
serpentine roads like a Ferrari - as I grow little horns outa my head!
