Arthur has duly noted the practical application of being able to stand in one's boat with it's obvious hazards. These were notably demonstrated by Jon Peterson in John Heath's video "Amphibious Man," for those of you who haven't yet seen this remarkable demonstration and feat of skill. Not being able to perform this task either, I am relegated to the necessity of carrying a bottle along. Actually, another practical aspect of being able to stand in one's boat is to develop a sense of balance, which I haven't done yet. Thus, I remain burdened by the bottle which has its hazards too.
