We still have not formally addressed this as a club. At least for early May there is no problem getting camp sites. We had the whole island to ourselves with the exception of a couple of day paddlers. I need to call the park to let them know that there is a mountain of trash by their Sand Island sign at their dock, so I will bring the topic up with them at that time. We decided to draw the line at making a two mile crossing with overloaded garbage scows. Piddling along the shore was bad enough. Actually conditions were pretty nice, calm seas, a bit breezy and hot, hot, hot. It was probably 80 on Saturday and 65 on Sunday in spite of a water temp of 37 degrees.
