I live in a relatively small apartment and am ready to buy my first kayak (after having rented numerous times up until now!). There's not really enough room to store a 14' to 16' sea kayak in it unless I suspend it from the ceiling somehow. I know it's not advisable to suspend it from the grab loops; a kayak needs support throughout the entire hull. I'd prefer a non-folding kayak. I'm hoping for some brainstorming and ideas from other paddlers who have been in my situation before. If worse comes to worse, I can rent a storage bay somewhere, but I'd prefer to keep my kayak at home. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
