I like the idea, but can also understand why the idea hasn't really caught on with major manufacturers....the more custom hand work involved the less profitable the end result - unless you can find a niche market willing to pay a premium for the work. I'm a relative beginner when it comes to fibreglass work, but I'm curious - could you do the same type of thing using cloth rather than mat?
