Congratulations. Some days just work out that way. Great story too. > <sigh> I did think about this previously. Storage is an issue. My first yak purchase was something like that. I had installed the roof rack knowing that I was going to buy one, but after months of indecision just one day went to the dealer and paid the cash. The boat looked awwwfully long on top the jeep and I realized that I hadn't really measured the garage and just assumed that a garage would be longer than a 17' kayak. I sweated it on the way home and made several self-deprecatory comments under my breath -- dummy, you're going to have a 17' kayak in your living room as a conversation piece -- but it fit in the garage with a couple of feet to spare. Not that I wouldn't mind having a nautical piece of furniture in the house; I like to spend some time admiring the lines and curves of a good boat and wouldn't have to go out in the garage to do so. A boat designer must have the second most aesthetically enviable occupation, second, far second, to a Playboy centerfold photog. :-) -Nick *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Fri May 26 2000 - 18:25:33 PDT
