I just bought my first kayak (15') last week (a Cape Horn Lite) and I live in a townhouse with no garage. So, where is my beautiful shiny deep red kayak (with black trim - gorgeous !!) - in my living room, of course. As you say, I can sit in the evenings and admire it. Visitors are a bit surprised, but my friends know me well enough so they don't blink at all. One neighbor, who has a crawl space under his townhouse, offered to store it there - horrors !!!! I politely declined. Another friend who lives a mile away has a large garage and offered storage there. I will probably take her up on that - eventually. For now, the beauty is a prized member of the family. My dog and 2 cats are intrigued - one of my cats likes to sit in the cockpit - on the seat - or curl up in front of the foot braces. The dog just barks at this strange animal every once in a while - although she is getting used to it and pretty much ignores it now.
