At the calculated risk of opening up to some major 'Wiser misunderstandings --- intentional or otherwiser --- I saw a paddle gear producer referencing "same-sex Velcro" the other day in a piece of equipment, but now can't find the reference. Apparently, Velcro's producer --- or some other "hook and loop" fabric manufacturer --- has come up with some new Velcro or Velcro-like material that has mating surfaces which appear similar but don't trap sand in the whichever surface that did trap sand and always prevented Velcro from making safe, predictable whitewater or high stress gear practical. Anybody know what it's all about? Anyone seen a similar reference?
