Greetings again fellow paddlers.  In regards to GPS accuracy and selective availability, a friend sent me this web site:

this graphicaly demonstrates the difference in position accuracy with SA turned off.  There are still many things about GPS I don't understand, but if you have the correct datum, a sufficient number of satellites in view, and a system that is tweaked, then you ought to have a pretty good idea of where you are on the map.
