Subject: [cascadia] Stolen Kayaks!

All,
I was dropping off a canoe Monday night only to find that Sportcraft Marina,
where I normally teach beginner lessons, was missing their kayaks.  I
checked the cable and found it cut.  I called (around 9:20 PM) one of the
owners and deduced that they had been robbed.  Stolen were 2 Adirondack
canoes, 5 Current Design Breeze kayaks, and 2 Cobra sit-on-top Explorers.
This was the entire kayak fleet and I am officially out of work as an
instructor.  

Here are the details on the stolen boats:

2 We-No-Nah Adirondack canoes, eggplant in color, Royalex construction with
skid plates, serial numbers RA949J900 and RA950J900

5 Current Design Breeze kayaks, plastic construction (several are missing
the neoprene hatch cover that goes on underneath the hard cover). The colors
and serial numbers are: Green QDC40815L900, speckle white QDC40601K900, Blue
QDC40557J900, Turquoise QDC40830L900, and Yellow QDC40501J900

2 Cobra Explorer sit-on-top kayaks, plastic construction, yellow
GWA15985C999, and white GWA14004K898

	Please let anyone interested know that these boats are probably out
there for sale soon and to contact Earl McCracken at 503-656-6484 if they
suspect they may have ID'ed one of the stolen boats.  People can also email
me at bcreek_at_teleport.com <mailto:bcreek_at_teleport.com>  with information and
I will relay it to the marina.  The theft constituted over $10,000 worth of
merchandise and is a very serious crime.  It also sidelined me as an
instructor and caused the cancellation of several trips this year.
