[Paddlewise] Goodbye for awhile

Hi,

I have been following this list for a couple of months or so - mainly as
a lurker - occasionally as a participant.  However, I have to leave for
a new job tomorrow and will be (temporarily) unsubscribing.

I will be managing the Broughton Strait Resort (soon to be renamed the
Cluxewe Resort).  This is a campsite owned by the Kwakiutl First
Nation.  It is located at the mouth of the Cluxewe River, just across
from Malcolm Island and the Pultenay Point Lighthouse.  This is where
the ocean begins to narrow off the northeast coast of Vancouver Island,
on its way to forming Johnstone Strait to the south.  So if any of you
are up this way, come by and say "hi."

There is no phone line at present, so no internet.  I have to go cold
turkey.

Anyway, it's been great following the various conversations ... I've
learned about everything from how to roll (very hypothetical in my
case!) to how to treat bursitis (I'm saving those messages).  I have to
say, you are a very articulate and wide-ranging group.
