Hi Evan and All, Post a notice on some of the used boards like at www.wakayakclub.com. You might also call PWS as they sometimes have some used 2 pc paddles. You can get a new clunker for $50 but I want a good quality spare on long trips. You are right about breakage of modern paddles being an anomaly, more often a paddle is lost to tide or some other form of pilot error. Of course there's always my favorite method of getting a spare; designate your current paddle as the spare and go treat yourself to a brand new stick.
