If all you have to drag across is sand or grass why not look at trying to rig up some kind of foam cradle (that fits the hull) and a kid's plastic snow sled and a strap or two? It would distribute the weight and slide pretty easily. Might not be so hot on rocks or asphalt or concrete, though.
