An interesting exercise if to do 90% of a roll (just shy of vertical) into a roll on the opposite side and just go back and forth. This is good practice for switching sides when your onside roll isn't working for some reason.. As you get better try coming up no more than 80% and doing the same thing, or from just at the surface But don't practice this too much or your teach yourself how to blow your rolls. Another game is to capsize and setup for your roll, then switch to the other side, setup and roll. This helped me relax enough underwater to switch sides without wasting any oxygen or time. Randomly rolling left or right, some with setting up some without setting up ahead of time. By varying which side you roll on you avoid getting dizzy. kirk who doesn't like to blow rolls, even intentionally... *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
