We pay unrealistically low gas prices, and so many drive around in huge, gas guzzling SUVs to go grocery shopping (I see this every day, as most of my neighbors drive these environmental nightmares). Just crazy. The *actual* price we (and the rest of the world) pay for our gas being so cheap is staggering. The natural world we as paddlers love so much suffers greatly every time we think of our money before we consider our planet.
