Jed, Jackie, Ralph, Et Al,
      Amen brothers and sisters! Jed, as usual you're right on the money.
Ralph, thanks again, for being as it has been put, "a more public source of
information and discussion", I know many of us appreciate the effort
involved. Jackie, you continue to amaze me with your abilities to "herd
cats" on this list. I've never seen quite this much hubbub before, even with
other relatively contentious issues. That's a testament to your
evenhandedness. Please don't feel badly about the whole episode, I think you
are handling it very well.
    Ms Pierzga, I too apologize for the actions of a few. Open discussion is
what it's all about. Losing a voice such as yours (thoughtful and well
spoken) would be a true tragedy for the list, even if we don't all agree
with you all the time. When people are afraid to voice their honest
opinions, how much more afraid will they be to admit to foolish mistakes
which we all might learn from?
    As one who mostly lurks, not from fear but from lack of experience, I
sincerely hope the list will continue to serve the great purpose it has so
admirably done thus far: to help us all to Paddle Wisely.
