[Paddlewise] Prudent Redundancy

    This is the rule that I was taught to apply to my (rock) climbing 
anchors. I've heard the same words used to describe prudent redundancy in 
"life safety" systems and computer database systems. This approach is pure 
common sense, to do anything less invites disaster.
