Back off all activity that produces pain, but don't completely stop paddling. Carefully approach chiropractic care over this one - I'd be leery, it could be contra-indicated. The services of a physiotherapist would be well indicated (unless your chiro performs these services -- it's different in Canada, as each one specializes). Ultrasound and electrical stimulation are usually best done by a physiotherapist, but you need a good one. These treatments are only as good as the ability of the practitioner to isolate the exact spot for effective treatment. and tailor the regime. Yes, your injury hurts, I know. A knowledgeable supplementary medical practitioner will also be able to advise you at what points you should be using ice therapy as opposed to heat therapy, etc. Also, any rib type injury is often best looked over by a proper MD, due to various complication possibilities.
