I'd second Gabriel's comments, Daniel. I'm your size and weight, but my inseam is 32" and my shoe size is 10. My feet fit (bare feet or neoprene socks or rodeo booties --- neo socks with a painted on "sole") but just. Your feet, four inches forward of where mine are, would by pretty uncomfortable. The North Bay XL, however, might be another story. The slight increase in width might be the margin you need, and the boat is great to paddle, where the standard North Bay is going to keep you very alert while paddling --- it's fun, but you really have to watch it. For what it's worth. Check CLC for their touring schedule (www.clcboats.com) and check with them to see if they can tell you who might own a NB --- or maybe even an XL --- in your general area. I believe CLC facilitates contact with owners who are willing to show their boats to folks who are interested in particular models. They also have their show schedules listed on the site, and I know they'll be on the left coast this summer.
