I play traditional Irish music 3 or 4 nights a week, have a small recording studio, scuba dive and cycle. My cycling is the big loser (in terms of available time), but it's not a safe sport in Florida. I just picked up a white water boat for ocean surfing and rivers, so now I have paddling decisions as well. cya *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
What do I do, other than kayaking and my micro-job? Well, I'm embarrassed when I compare myself to many of you, who seem to be much more physically active. As for me, I wrecked my knees long ago, so I can't run any more. Not just "shouldn't run" - I can't. I have a rather serious neck problem so I'm forbidden to ride my bicycle. I don't much enjoy swimming for exercise. I never learned rock-climbing. So I paddle. I walk a few miles, a few times each week. I putter around with some roses I have, and I putter around with some of the boats I've built. I take a few photographs. I read. I watch just enough TV to see the 6:30 PM news most days. That's it - and it's enough, for me.
