I'm making a storm to have accessible for rolling and back-up. All lit I've seen says to use 2x4. I'm thinking 1x4 to keep it light and easy to stow. I'll keep the loom ovoid and fairly thick for strength. Good reasons not to? Is the 'wing' effect really noticeable? Best wood for good weight/strength balance? *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
