A kayaker and member of the CPAKayaker net, Steve Young, salvaged a sea kayak on the Potomac River near Chain Bridge in Washington, DC yesterday afternoon. There are sufficient specific items with the boat for the owner to identify it --- please contact Steve at SteveYoung_at_aol.com. He's apparently relatively new to paddling, but had the presence of mind to have a throw bag available which he used to tow the boat to safe haven. All cognizant authorities were notified, and a helo search was made of the area, but, so far, no one is reported missing and no one has reported a lost kayak. Strange.
