Be careful with your paddlefloat practice. It is very easy to break a
paddle shaft due to incorrect technique -- especially as you become
unraveled. Learn the rear deck fixed and non-fixed method first to the
point of doing it blindfolded in a chop. The front deck (both fixed and
non-fixed) can work for some people, as witnessed here on our coast, but
requires different body language.

No practice, good or bad, is ever a disaster if something is learned.
