>This time it's for B&L's crummy repair >as the binocs came back collimated incorrectly. I could rant about >several other poor B&L repair and service problems I've personally >encountered. Oh dear. When I was looking for waterproof binocs I read the Sea Kayaker article and some of the reviews on www.birdbino.com and I settled on the B&L 7x24 Legacy. The closeout price was less than $250 and it seemed like good value. I haven't used them that hard, but they seem to be holding up OK. I'll keep my fingers crossed. For Courtney, check out <http://www.lightshedder.com/BVD/> the website of _Better View Desired: Birding Optics Quarterly_ magazine to see how seriously some people get about their binoculars! Also, I thought that Christophers, LTD (birdbino.com) offered good prices and service.
