Hey Edward, Haven't heard or seen any "lights" up here this summer so far. Activity does tend to begin to increase around the end of August or September. Sunset is now (at our latitude) at about 9:00pm so it's now beginning to be dark enough at a reasonable hour (10ish) to begin seeing the lights if they appear. I've only seen them twice outside of Alaska - once in the Michigan's UP and once camped at about 12,500 in Colorado (Mt Elbert). Those were both white lights - the displays I've seen up here have been much more colorful. No matter what they look like they're always incredible to watch and marvel at.
