I suppose that depends on how/why the bear appeared.  If it was floated down on 
a piece of ice that shouldn't have broken off but did (and found it's way into 
the Sound), it may indicate a disturbing warming trend.  If, on the other hand, 
it came because it seemed nice and cool in Prince William Sound in summer, it 
could indeed indicate a cooling trend.  I do doubt though, that PWS would be 
quite that cool this time of year.
Perhaps it was just a bear with wanderlust, and/or he heard of the great 
paddling in PWS, and the tasty paddlers that flock there in summer (although he 
wishes they wouldn't wear all that stinky neoprene - nasty stuff to chew 
through).
