    Something similar already exists in an open canoe.  You can order the
Probe 12 from Mohawk with an adjustable center thwart.  It's normally a
whitewater boat with rocker.  If you take in the thwart and make the boat
narrower, the ends rise and you have even more rocker....  Or spread it out
and now you have a boat that tracks better....
