Hi everyone, I feel all these list members who are only too ready to poke fun at the Nordkapp design should show a little respect... If in their opinion they don't like the boat - then fair enough, an equal number of people could probably be found to sing its praises - so what! But stop to consider a little where would sea kayaking be today if it were not for these early designs that promoted the sport well over 20-30 years ago? Todays modern hull shapes all build on the success of past designs. Indeed - one poster seemed to be criticising the fact that the Nordkapp design itself has evolved over time... the logic of this escapes me. Should we not have realised by now that the 'universal' sea kayak that is perfect for all paddlers in all situations and journeys does not exist! My main beef is: why be so negative about something you personally don't want to paddle? Isn't it supposed to be about enjoying yourself on the water?
